About Writing Time

Writing Time is a writing practice tracker from The Fountain, created by Kimberly King Parsons and Chelsea Bieker. It helps you record writing time, optional word counts, projects, feelings, and reflections. Your writing itself happens wherever you choose.

These terms govern your use of Writing Time.

Your account

Use an email address you control and provide accurate account information. Keep your sign-in codes private. Contact us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.

Your records belong to you

You retain ownership of the content you add. You give us permission to store, process, display, and export that content as needed to operate Writing Time for you. This does not give us ownership of your writing or permission to publish your private reflections.

Only add content you have the right to use. You are responsible for the information you enter and for keeping any downloaded copies secure.

Using the service

Do not use Writing Time for unlawful purposes, access another person’s records without permission, interfere with the service, or attempt to bypass its security or access limits.

Your trial and subscription

A 14-day Premium trial starts when you complete account setup. No payment card is required to start the trial, and the trial does not automatically become a paid subscription. Some features require active Premium access after the trial.

Your saved history, structured JSON download, support, and account deletion requests remain available without Premium. Readable PDF reports require Premium access. Premium costs $4.99 per month or $49 per year in US dollars. Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected interval until canceled. Stripe handles checkout and payment processing. The amount and billing schedule are shown before you confirm a purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription through billing settings; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues through the paid period. Contact us with billing or refund questions.

Availability and changes

We aim to provide a useful, reliable service, but the service may contain errors or be interrupted. Writing Time cannot guarantee a particular writing outcome or uninterrupted access. Download a backup of records you want to keep independently.

We may change features or suspend access when reasonably needed to protect users, address misuse, or maintain the service. Where practical, we will give notice of significant interruptions or a planned closure and an opportunity to export your records.

Leaving Writing Time

You can stop using the app at any time. To permanently delete your account, use Delete my account in Account settings or email connect@fountainpractice.com for help. Self-service deletion requires a fresh email code and your explicit confirmation. Download any records you want to keep first. Confirming deletion locks access to your journal and starts cancellation of your Writing Time subscription immediately, even if paid time remains. We verify that billing is stopped before deleting your account data. Deletion does not issue an automatic refund; contact us with refund questions. We email you when processing is complete. Sending a support email alone does not delete the account. Our Privacy Policy explains how deletion and retained information are handled.

Updates and questions

We will date updates to these terms and communicate material changes before asking you to agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
